We did lots of fun things this Christmas season. It was so nice to have some time away from school to relax and spend time with family and friends. Of all the things I did this holiday break, I will miss sleeping in, running errands with Danny, going shopping with Tammy, chilling with Kristyn to all hours of the night, playing games with Keesa and Trevor, playing games with Casey and Carrie, and going down south to hang out with my family. Although, I am sure I will make time to do those things when school starts up again, it was nice to be able to do it without the stress of school.
It's hard to believe Christmas came and went so fast, it always does. I am excited for the new year and all the possibilities it brings. 2010. What will this year hold for Danny and I? We have lots of plans, hopes and dreams. I believe most will come true. But before I go on about the new year and all that it has to offer, I want to share a few of the wonderful things that happened in 2009.
1. We made some amazing new friends!! We met Trevor and Keesa Mooney a couple of weeks before we moved from our old place in September. They were moving, we were moving. We became fast friends...who wouldn't love a guy who showed up on your door step in swim shorts and flip flops! We helped them move, they helped us move. We have been great friends ever since. It has been a real blessing to us to find friends that are such good examples and are loads of fun to hang out with!
2. Through golfing, games and date nights we became close friends with Carrie and Casey McClung. It is so great to find a couple that is exactly like us, the even greater part is to find one that has been married longer. Carrie and Casey have given us some of the best advice and are always there to listen and help when needed. What a blessing it is to know that we are not the "only" ones!
3. We moved into a ward we love and a ward that loves us! The Logan 11th ward is awesome. Despite still being new in the ward we have found many friends and a warm welcome. It makes all the difference to be in a ward that wants you there and makes you a part of their family.
4. I made it through another two semesters of school and finished off with a "almost" 4.0, if it wasn't for that dang A- I would have had it in the bag.
5. Xstream Pressure gained clients and continued to profit nicely in a failing economy!
6. We were able to spend some of the summer vacationing with family, going from one reunion to the next.
7. We made it through our first year of marriage. I am very grateful for Danny. He is always wanting to make me happy!
There are many other things that happened in 2009 that I am grateful for, those are just a few. I am happy to look forward to a new year and hope that is it just as great as 2009. 2010, I'll be waiting for you!

Our Christmas Tree
Here is our BEAUTIFUL REAL Christmas tree!
Danny putting on the STAR
He could not get the STAR to stay on so of course he did things his way and nailed it to the ceiling!!
Here I am putting on a few decorations
So far in our married life we have always had a real tree. I would like to keep this tradition. I love going to the tree lot together and picking out the perfect tree. This year we froze. Those who really know me know how hard it is for me to make a decision, it took forever for me forever to decide this would be our tree this year!

Red Bull...it gives you wings
Funny story.
Danny was doing his regular Sunday night cleanings a few weeks ago. I was at home studying, of course. He comes home around 11:30pm and proceeds to tell me how he found this STASH of Red Bull's behind the order sign at Charlies (for those not familiar with Cache Valley, its an ice cream shop). He was looking for an outlet to plug his machine into and came across a box of Red Bull shots. At first he was confused and thought someone had hid it there. He noticed a sticker on the package that said, "You've found a Red Bull STASH, claim this stash at Facebook.com". He's so funny, he was so excited that he found something for free! So we got ready for bed and was about to turn out the light when he remembered he needed to claim his stash! So he gets out the lap top, logs onto facebook to claim his stash and finds out it is this whole game that Red Bull is doing. They had placed these Stashes (a stash consists of 12 Red Bull shots) all over Cache Valley. At this point it is nearly 1am in the morning! I am so tired and just want to go to sleep. Then he finds out that they have hidden like 6 more in the valley and there is a list of clues to find them. Yeah, I bet you can guess what happened next!
He some how convinced me to get out of my warm bed and go with him on this scavenger hunt at 1am in the morning when I have class at 8am! I said to him, "Honey, this is what freshmen in college do, not what married couples do". He proceeded with, "Come on, this will be fun, PLEASE" and of course he used his charm to get me out of bed and dressed ready to go with flashlights in hand.
We found 4 of the 6 and it took us about an hour. And actually it was a blast. Here we were running around campus with flashlights looking in the bushes and trees having a lot of fun together! Here are a few pictures of what we found!
P.S.
We don't drink Red Bull so now we are stuck with 48 Red Bull shots, which run about 2.99 a shot. Let us know if you want some wings....

one of those days...
Ever had one of those days where when you wake up you just know it is not going to go well? I had one of those mornings. It all started with the annoying alarm clock going off at 6:15, only thing was is that I didnt know it was my alarm. I dreampt that it was part of my dream. So to start off the day I was late to work and then when I get there my boss has rearranged my desk and some of my papers (she's kind of controling). And I could go on. But to top it all off, I was really missing Danny...it has been 4 days since I've seen him with 2 more to go. So I come home from work and just lay on my bed and start crying because...well that is what girls do. Danny calls and can tell I'm upset and talks to me for a while but then has to go because he's working, so of course I start crying again. A short 8 min later I hear a knock at the door. I answer it and there is standing, the flower delivery lady, with the most beautiful bouquet of orange flowers for me from Danny. Tears in my eyes I accept the flowers. I am so grateful to have such a loving and thoughtful husband. He is always trying to make me happy and I am so thankful for that. My happiness is always his goal, I couldnt ask for a better man. Just want to tell him that I love him from the front of my hand, around the universe, to the back of my hand! Love you, babe!

Ice Cream with Kristyn
So tonight me and kristyn(for those of you who don't know kristyn she is my 17 yr old sister in-law) were running some errands...mostly just shopping and goofing off. Kristyn wanted an ice cream cone and convinced me to get one too. I don't love ice cream unless it is on top of a cold brownie. So we have our ice cream cones in hand and she is driving down the street headed toward my house. I tell her that I want to scoop off the ice cream and just eat the cone so she rolls down the window for me to do so. I being incredibly smart decide to take off big chucks of the ice cream with my mouth so as to not get my fingers sticky by scooping it off with a finger. I get a giant mouth full to spit out the window and just as i go to spit it out i slam my head into the top part of the window so hard. Hard enough, that I am so shocked at what happened that i suck in and choke on the ice cream. To make matters worse Kristyn is laughing so hard she can barely drive and so of course i start laughing just as hard and end up spitting the ice cream all over my self, my fingers, after trying so hard to spare them, and the all over the car. Needless to say it was the funniest thing that happened all day!! Just thought I would share! Love those moments and some how they happen so often when kristyn is around! Fun times.

a little update
Ok...wow it has been so long since I have posted anything on here but I do have an excuse. It may not be a great one but I consider it valid. I do not know how to do work this whole blog thing. I started doing it when my sister Lisa lived with me and was able to help me figure it out. I hate doing something that I am not great at and so I have not posted anything since. But I figure it is time I figure it out on my own...help!
Right now I am doing my best at avoiding the loads of homework, lesson plans, and midterms I have piling up in front of me just to give you all a little update on our life.
We just moved. Down the street a few blocks. We now live just off main street in Logan, right next to JoAnns (major plus). We moved to save money (much cheaper rent). I really like the new place. It is a cute little red brick duplex with a big front porch for sitting. I bought me a beautiful orange fall plant to decorate it with. It is one bedroom and has a back room that Danny has converted to his little cave with the TV, video games and luv sac. He does that while I spend most of my time doing homework these days. I love the kitchen it is yellow and white. The duplex is older so it has beautiful wood work and a brick fireplace with a dark wood mantel. I will have to post picture soon (when i learn how).
Besides the move I have started back up with school. I am going full time, this is my senior year and I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel but the work load is crazy...I spend at least 4 hours doing homework and I still have class to attend everyday oh and not to mention work (which is a whole other story...my boss is controlling and will not let me quit, no matter how hard I try). I love school and studying so it really isn't as bad as it sounds. Plus starting next week I will be doing my clinical at Mt. Crest high school, cant wait!
Danny is spending a lot of time working. He always gets really busy right before winter starts trying to get stuff done before the cold hits and he cant do much. He has been a great help with this move. He is going to clean the old place so that I can focus on school work (well with the help of his sister). His birthday is soon and we get to go to the Anniversary Inn to celebrate, he choose the room with that has a actual truck in it and the bed is in the bed of the truck...he is supper excited...lets hope its just not about the truck!
That is pretty much the excitement going on in our lives. Nothing too exciting. Well I am going to try to get better at this blogging thing. Next goal, learn to post pictures!

My New Hobby
For Christmas Danny gave me a really nice sewing machine, the one that I have been wanting for quite some time. I have made a few things with it like a really cute apron, on christmas day, and a baby blanket for one of my friends soon to be baby boy. It has been lots of fun playing around with it.
I love quilts. I have a quilt that my grandma Phylis made me that I cherish. I also have another quilt that my mom made me and one that my aunt gave me that was made by one of my ancestors. Each of these quilts mean so much to me. I want to be like my grandma Phylis and my ancestors who made quilts for their family. I want my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to have the same thing I did, beautiful quilts that have meaning and love stichted into them.
So with this desire I realise it can only be accomplished if I take up the hobby of quilting and perfect it as did the other women in my family who went before me. I love to sew and this will be the perfect opportunity to get lots of use out of my new machine. Plus, I always fall in love with all the beautiful fabrics and their designs every time I walk into Joanns. Now I will have an excuse to buy, buy, buy!
Seeing as I know nothing really about quilting I needed to learn. I picked up the best book. It is a beginners quilting book. It has tons of great info and gives you four beginner patterns to start with.
With book in hand I went to one of my favorite stores, Joanns. I fell in love with the cutest lime green baby chenille fabric, I had to get it. I was able to find a few other fabrics that would match great. So, my first quilt turns out to be a baby quilt. It being a baby quilt means nothing more than I hope to one day wrap a cute little baby boy in it. (the lady cutting the fabric asked when I was due when she saw the fabric, can't a person make a baby quilt without being accused of being prego?)
Here are a few pictures of my new hobby in progress. I will post more pictures as it gets closer to being finnished.
Family
I am very excied about this coming weekend! I get to go home and visit the family!! Maryann and the kids will be down and we will be having a bbq for Madeys birthday. I love bbqs with my family, this will be the perfect way to start spring! I also love seeing Maryann and the kids. I wish they lived closer. Here are some pictures from the last time we got to see Maryann, Cory and the kids. We watched the kids one night while Maryann and Cory stayed the night in the Anniversary Inn. We took them ice skating and they did really well except Conner refused to get out on the ice. It was very cute to watch Danny try and convince him to try. Danny and Conner are so funny together, they love to tease each other. After ice skating we took them for pizza at Fredrico's and then back to our place to chill on the luv sac and watch movies. We were so tired. Danny passed out on the couch before any of the kids did. I hope I have just as much fun this weekend. I always do when I go home to the place I love, Spanish Fork.
Figuring this Out!
Well, I think if I am going to have a blog then I better post something every now and then. The reason it has taken so long is mostly because I am new to this and haven't really figured out how it all works. I lost my expert on it, Lisa moved home like 3 days after she showed me how to set one up, and I have been lost ever since. I figure it is time to just play around with it and figure it out on my own.

So...I am hesitant to start up one of these blog things, only because I don't really know what I am going to blog about. We don't have any kids, heck we don't even have any pets to blog about. Oh' well. I guess I will just blog about the very interesting life of me and my hubby. We are so very interesting! Haha. We'll see where this takes us.
